New tours for the RA Friends

Every year, Martin Randall Travel operates around ten tours exclusively for the Friends of the Royal Academy.

All the characteristics that Martin Randall Travel is renowned for – meticulous planning, attention to detail, first-rate client care, the calibre and companionability of our lecturers – are, of course, shared by these RA tours. However, a donation to the Royal Academy is also included in the price of each Friends tour. As a result Martin Randall Travel has donated just under £40,000 to the RA in the past two and a half years.

The new tours for 2009 have just been announced and can now be booked online. This year, we are also offering the Friends the opportunity of participating on two large scale events that are not exclusive to the Friends: The Matisse Cruise and the Haydn Festival in Vienna. Donations will be made for all Friends booked on this cruise and music festival. The small-group tours are:

• Palladian Villas (16–21 June 2009)
• The Baltic States (7–19 July 2009)
• Byzantine Greece (4–12 September 2009)
• Istanbul & Cappadocia (14–20 September 2009)
• Gardens of the Italian Lakes (24–30 September 2009)
• Pompeii & Herculaneum (5–10 October 2009)
